How does it work?

There really is never one size fits all. What you think you need and what you really need can really change the scope of works required. From a simple repaint of your homes interior  - to starting from a blank canvas on a renovation or new home build. It might be residential it might be commercial.

You can consult by the hour or we can give you the specification and guidelines to run your own race! If time is of the essence let us take care of it all from plans to selections, working with and coordinating trades, to furniture and styling delivery and install.

Step 1 - Design Consultation

This is where we work together to formulate the brief. The consultation fee is $450. +gst
(90 minute maximum consultation a travel surcharge may apply depending on postal location)

It is important to be clear about the services you require and the details needed to execute the brief to your level of expectation. Budget, time frame and the level of input required, are all important considerations in determining the brief. We will take photos and document the space. If you have existing builder floor plans please dig them out to have with you on the day, or send us a copy prior. Any homework we think is needed from your end in order for the project to be a success will also be discussed. If there is any immediate solutions we can offer we will talk through these.

It is important to be realistic and honest about the proposed project. Full disclosure from both parties is needed to create  a cohesive and respectful working relationship.  A full design proposal will then be tailored to your specific project outlining the brief and the steps we will undertake along with the associated fees.

Step 2 - Quotation

After we have discussed the full brief, and talked about the expectations, a formalized design proposal, including the stages of the design work and or scope of works required by us and others - will be sent to you for approval and sign off. The more information YOU provide us in the initial design consultation, the most accurate we can be in the design proposal. there may be associated quotes we need to gather along the way, and these will be flagged in the outline of each of the stages.

Step 3 - Sign & Deposit

Acknowledging our T&C’s and signing off on the quotation, with a 50% deposit, will get works underway. You will then officially become a member of the MRD family! Welcome.
